Sanjay Kandoth, M.D.
President/Director Board Certified Pediatrician
Dr. Kandoth obtained his basic medical degree (M.B.B.S) and Pediatric Specialization (M.D.) in India. He then trained for four years at Children’s Hospital of Michigan during which period he completed a Pediatric Residency and obtained Board Certification in Pediatrics.
Dr. Kandoth has been in practice for the past sixteen years as a Las Vegas pediatrician. He was Director of Pediatrics at the Red Rock Medical Group from 2000—2007. He founded Sunrise Pediatrics in June 2007.
His areas of interest include:
Acute care, in-patient care, neonatology, and children with special needs.
He was Co-Director of Pediatrics at North Vista Hospital in 2009 and was voted Best Doctor for two consecutive years 2009 and 2010.
Dianne Yusi, M.D.
Medical Director Board Certified Pediatrician
Dr. Yusi specializes in General Pediatrics. She earned her medical degree at the University of Santo Tomas in the Philippines in 2007. She completed her internship and residency in pediatrics at the Unterberg Children’s Hospital at Monmouth Medical Center in New Jersey. She relocated to Las Vegas in 2014.
Dr. Yusi’s primary goal is to practice the best standard of care in pediatrics with compassion, dignity, and respect. She aims to make a difference in children’s lives and their families through excellent care. Her areas of interest are allergy management, development, and the preventive care aspect of pediatrics.
In her free time, she enjoys watching movies, traveling, and trying different cuisines.
Sonya Aikels, D.O.
Community Outreach Program Director Board Certified Pediatrician
Dr. Sonya Aikels is a lifelong resident of Las Vegas who is committed to providing excellent care to the smallest members of our community! After receiving her medical degree from the Western University of Health Sciences in 2005, she completed a pediatric residency at the University of Nevada School of Medicine in 2008. She then accepted a junior faculty position with the University of Nevada and served as Chief Resident of Pediatrics from 2008-2009. She is currently Board Certified in Pediatrics.
Dr. Aikels greatly enjoys building relationships with her patients and making a trip to the doctor‘s office a fun experience. She aims to practice the highest quality of pediatric care while building partnerships with patients and parents. Dr. Aikels understands that great medical care is built on good relationships and trust. As such, she enjoys educating parents and equipping them with the tools necessary to raise healthy children. Her areas of interest include neonatology, adolescent medicine, and preventive care.
In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, singing, and reading.
Farooq Abdulla M.D.
Board Certified Pediatrics/Neonatologist
Dr. Abdulla Obtained his pediatric training in Shreveport, LA and then continued to complete his
Fellowship training in Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine at the same institution.
Dr. Abdulla is board-certified in both Pediatrics and Neonatology and after practicing Neonatology for over
20 years, he has been doing general pediatrics for the last 4 years.
His area of interest is infant nutrition and growth and development. He will also be providing primary care
for the preterm and High-Risk infants discharged from the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU)
He will also be available to provide consultation for the parents who will be expecting to have a preterm baby
for a variety of reasons which may be beyond their control.
Pamela St. Clair M.D.
Board Certified Pediatrician
Dr. Pamela St.Clair is a board-certified pediatrician with 20 years of experience. She is a graduate of Loyola University Chicago Stritch School of Medicine and she completed her residency in pediatrics at Christ Medical Center, Hope Children’s Hospital. She has been serving the Las Vegas community for the past 11 years and is excited to deliver high-quality comprehensive family-focused care to the Valley. She sees children aged birth to 18 years. She is active in community service as a member of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority Inc. and Victory Missionary Baptist Church where she serves on the women’s ministry, Children’s ministry, and Health ministry.
Jessica Cruz, FNP, CLC

Jessica finished her Master in Nursing/Family Nurse Practitioner degree from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV) and is board certified with the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. She obtained her Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of the East-Ramon Magsaysay Memorial Medical Center in the Philippines and completed her Pediatric residency training at Cardinal Santos Medical Center in Manila, where she was a Pediatric Consultant for 16 years. She received her Pediatrics specialty board certification in the Philippines before relocating to the United States. She has been practicing Pediatrics for 20 years. She loves children and their families and focuses on educating them about health maintenance.
Mildred Balotro, DNP, FNP-BC
Nurse Practitioner
Mildred is a certified Family Nurse Practitioner. She graduated from Touro University Nevada where she earned both her Master’s and Doctorate degrees in nurse practice. She is nationally certified by ANCC and AANP. She took care of newborn babies as a nurse for 19 years, and she has been practicing pediatrics for 3 years.
Mildred loves children, and her goal is to provide high quality pediatric care and the promotion of preventive health practices thru teaching and guidance.
In her spare time, she likes to go to the gym and watch movies.
Mirabelle Kwek, APRN, FNP-C
Nurse Practitioner
Mirabelle Kwek graduated with distinction from United States University with a Master of
Science in Nursing- FNP. She is an APRN in Nevada and is nationally certified as family nurse
practitioner with the AANP. She enjoys connecting with patients and their families, and
highlights the importance of wellness visits for disease prevention. Her previous professional
roles include being an educator, a counselor; as well as consultant across various industries, with
emphasis on project management, human resource management and development; and benefits
and salary administration. During her free time, she loves travelling and exploring various cultures.
